Heisenberg's birthday is May 7th, the release date of Resident Evil 8, his first appearance.β€”β„Œβ€”Heisenberg was born in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany. He has never stated his year of birth, but it is 1911. By 2021, he is one hundred and ten years old. The cadou slowed his physical ageing and locked him into the appearance he had at implantation, which was fifty‑one.β€”β„Œβ€”Heisenberg has lived in the village for sixty‑three years and has been imprisoned there since the age of fifty. The period described as him being under Miranda "for decades" refers to the time after his cadou symbiosis was completed, when her experimentation on him ended, and he was elevated to the position of Lord. Miranda exploited his strong feelings for her and lured him into her laboratory. He was infected with the cadou in 1962 against his will and kept in isolation throughout the painful and traumatising transformation.During this period, he was violently resistant, attacking anyone who entered his cell and making repeated escape attempts. He killed a lab assistant with his bare hands. After a failed suicide attempt, he understood that Miranda would not allow him to die, and that suppressing open rebellion was the only way to gain any degree of freedom. Once the cadou had fully taken hold and he had stabilised, Miranda allowed him to move freely within the village. He cannot leave, as she is the alpha parasite he is bound to.β€”β„Œβ€”His chartreuse eye colour is a visible effect of the cadou, shared by all the Lords. His natural eye colour is hazel.β€”β„Œβ€”By Resident Evil standards, Heisenberg qualifies as a B.O.W.β€”β„Œβ€”Heisenberg is right-handed.β€”β„Œβ€”

Heisenberg's scars come from accidents, miscalculations and incidents while learning to control his powers, along with injuries from his time in the war. None were intentional except for the two cuts on the undersides of his wrists, made during a suicide attempt after a year of imprisonment, long before he had any mastery of ferrokinesis. Miranda prevented him from dying, unwilling to lose her most promising subject. He never attempted suicide again, having eventually found a grudging satisfaction in the use of his metal‑based abilities. He has more than one hundred scars across his body.Despite learning to use his powers to his advantage, Heisenberg prefers to work with his hands whenever possible. He finds a bitter sweetness in doing things humanly, something he feels he has long since lost organically.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg is German, as his name suggests, and is a cousin of the physicist Werner Heisenberg. Their mothers were sisters. At eighteen, he served as a soldier in the German Empire's Schutzstaffel. He worked as a mechanic, repairing trucks and tanks and helping construct components for electric fencing and incinerators for the Nazis. His dog tag is the only physical item he still has from that period, though he sanded the identifying details off long ago. After Germany's defeat in 1945, when remaining SS units were being rounded up for trial and execution, he fled the country. He travelled to Romania using forged papers and a forged passport, as many others did. He adopted an American accent to hide his identity, having learned the Mid‑Atlantic style from radio and film. Under the name Harold Parks, he lived on the outskirts of ConstanΘ›a, working petty jobs as a mechanic and junkyard keeper. His identity was uncovered in 1954 when he was forty‑four, and he fled deeper into rural Romania, eventually reaching the village. Miranda took him in with little questioning, though at a cost he would never have agreed to had he known it.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg has largely lost his German accent after years of maintaining an American one. To a native American listener, it still sounds off, clearly a mask. He speaks German fluently but rarely uses it.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg thinks in German. His internal monologue and reasoning process use the language he grew up with.β€” β„Œ β€”He writes all private notes and research in German. No one in the village can read it, so he relies on it as a form of encryption.β€” β„Œ β€”The activation code for his Soldats must be spoken in German and transmitted by radio. The code, Blau Valentin (Blue Valentine), triggers the implant installed in their heads. After activation, he can command them through radio or, if close enough, through ferrokinesis by transmitting current directly. No one else knows the code. It is in German for the same reason he writes his notes in it, and the Soldats respond only to him. Their implants also contain a kill‑switch that only he can trigger.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg speaks English and German fluently. He has never been interested in learning Romanian, though he understands a handful of common words and phrases.β€” β„Œ β€”Very few know of his past in Nazi Germany. Mentioning it provokes a highly aggressive and often fatal response.β€” β„Œ β€”He has not left the village since arriving in 1955. He has little knowledge of the outside world because newspapers, television, radio, and books are scarce in the region. He is unfamiliar with modern technology and only learns from items brought in by outsiders or confiscated from them. His factory contains a room that functions as a technological graveyard, filled with shelves of dusty cameras, phones, computers, boomboxes and other devices spanning the last sixty years.β€” β„Œ β€”In his youth, Heisenberg was religious, though not fanatical. His belief in God no longer exists after everything he has witnessed. He can still quote scripture and does so often.β€” β„Œ β€”He retains many of the views instilled in him during his upbringing in Nazi Germany. He considers disabilities a hindrance, believes Christianity to be the only true religion, and sees human experimentation as necessary for scientific progress. His prejudice against Romani people remains the strongest and most visible, reflected in his contempt for Alcina and his low regard for the villagers.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg was enrolled in the Lebensborn program in 1940. He did not meet the physical criteria the doctors sought, but his family's reputation for intelligence and their unmixed background led to his acceptance. He visited the site near Berlin once and had a brief romance with a young woman over the course of a week. As with all participants, neither was allowed to know the other's name, and he was never permitted to meet the child he left behind. After seven days, he returned to his battalion as they prepared to march on Romania. By 2021, that child would have been eighty‑one.β€” β„Œ β€”No one knows Heisenberg's first name, Karl, except Miranda, who extracted it forcibly when she bound him to the cadou. The former villagers, now dead, knew him as Harold Parks. The current generation knows him as Lord Heisenberg. The other Lords call him Heisenberg.

β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg is an exceptionally skilled mathematician with a precise eye for measurement. He can estimate size, weight and distance at a glance. This comes from his engineering training, where mathematics was essential to his work. He enjoys problem‑solving and takes genuine satisfaction in technical challenges. He is a trained mechanical engineer and graduated from the Technical University of Munich before the Second War, shortly before being drafted. After being placed in charge of the factory in the village he turned to bioengineering. It began as a hobby, using Miranda's discarded subjects, the crippled, the elderly, lycans and anyone she deemed unfit to host Eva. Over the decades, he became disturbingly proficient. His knowledge is extensive enough that he could pass for holding a formal doctorate.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg holds a Master's in mechanical and civil engineering and a First in physical science. Everything he knows about biology and bioengineering, he taught himself from the ground up.

β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg is rounded, muscular, thickset, burly, and covered in dense, dark hair all over. This is especially thick on his arms, chest, stomach, legs, lower back, across his shoulders and all over his groin. He is slightly overweight.Heisenberg stands at 6'2" (1.87) and weighs 14 stone (88kg). His BMI is 28.7.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg carries the distinct scent of Cuban cigars. They are his one luxury Miranda secures for him outside the village to be imported via the Duke. He also smells of machine oil and faint whiskey.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg isn't overly concerned with personal hygiene. He's filthy. One can find him covered in oil, grease, sweat and mud - and blood - daily. His nails are filthy, he bites them too high, and he picks at his cuticles when agitated or bored. His shaving is the bare minimum and lazy, and he doesn't much care to clean up spills he gets down himself. He rarely ever showers or bathes, believing it to be a "waste of time" and "time better spent doing something else", especially when he will "only get dirty again".β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg suffered from addiction to methamphetamines (meth), stemming from the Nazi army, where they gave it to their soldiers on the belief that it heightened their combat prowess. He has since recovered entirely, back in the 1960s, namely from a lack of access to it.

β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg enjoys music, especially country, rockabilly and bluegrass. Two of his favourites are Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. He owns an old vinyl player from 1967 and a small collection of records. All of his music has been scavenged from the belongings of outsiders who passed through the village, taken from their camps and vehicles. He is always eager to add to the collection, no matter how small the find.

β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg can use various appliances as extensions of his senses without needing any physical or electronic connection. He can see through monitors and televisions, hear through speakers and radios, and communicate through any of these devices as if they were part of his own body.β€” β„Œ β€”

Heisenberg can shift into his mutant form at will and return to his human shape. Its appearance changes depending on whatever scrap metal is available to him at the time. The transformation drains him and prolonged use exhausts him. When he reverts, he emerges as his regular self, usually climbing out of a heap of discarded metal that collapses around him once dismissed.β€” β„Œ β€”He retains his sense of self whilst transformed, but his mind slips into a primal and unrestrained state. He becomes driven by aggression and the thrill of combat, reckless and goading, throwing himself into conflict with far less restraint than usual. His ability to reason blurs, making both adversary and ally potential targets.β€” β„Œ β€”In his established mutant form, he has only one natural eye. His right eye is replaced by a speaker unit that functions as his mouth. Where his mouth would normally be is an empty opening. Any security cameras he absorbs become additional eyes.β€” β„Œ β€”Heisenberg does not control the lycans. Their behaviour follows the cadou's internal hierarchy, which depends on the success of symbiosis. Lycans and failed hosts are the lowest tier, Omega, and respond to the authority of the Lords, the Beta tier. All of them fall under Miranda, the Alpha. They would obey any Lord who commanded them, as their mental and physical development had moved beyond independent will.
β€” β„Œ β€”
When Heisenberg is angry or overwhelmed by strong emotion, small metal objects around him begin to float, tremble or vibrate. Once the emotion breaks, whether through shouting, fighting or other intense release, everything drops at once in a loud clatter. Calming himself naturally causes the objects to drift back down or settle.β€” β„Œ β€”He does not have access to raw cadou material the way Moreau does. Miranda does not trust him with it, though he is unaware of the extent of her mistrust. He has tried to replicate its effects through machinery and experimentation.

Miranda encountered Heisenberg in 1955 while he was travelling through the wilderness around the village. He was looking for a place to disappear in the forests of Romania, avoiding the trials awaiting surviving SS members who were still being hunted. She did not know his past, but she recognised that his American accent was not genuine, even when he gave her a false name.To his surprise, Miranda offered him refuge among her villagers. They were wary of the new American their Lady had brought home, but not hostile. They accepted him as a refugee, and he was struck by how untouched the village seemed after the war.Within three months, Heisenberg had worked as a repairman, copper dealer and mechanic at the Gheata junkyard. He lived in a small shack on the forest's edge near the Beneviento estate. He kept mostly to himself, but he formed a friendship with Miranda, who visited him often. Over time, she moved him into new lodgings at the old coal mine and gave him free access to the factory. His feelings for her deepened. He thought about her constantly, looked forward to her visits, found excuses to seek her out, and watched only her during sermons. They drank together, laughed, and shared stories. Learning about Eva broke his heart and strengthened his desire to comfort her.To him, Miranda was the most beautiful woman he had ever met. He was deeply attracted to her, though he knew she did not return his feelings. Beside her, he felt old and foolish. She looked no older than twenty‑five or thirty. He had no idea what she truly was.His feelings did not go unnoticed. They became the strings Miranda pulled.Eighteen months after his arrival, she sent for him, inviting him to her private chamber. Her letter spoke of knowing his heart and desires, of a connection she felt between them, and of wanting to speak and act on those feelings alone together. Excited and half in disbelief that she had ever looked at him that way, Heisenberg accepted the invitation. It was a trap.He was drugged and taken to her laboratory beneath the altar. Miranda experimented on him without remorse. The pain was relentless. He begged for mercy and for death as she implanted the parasite between the last two bones of his left ribs. She told him they were now connected, family, bonded. She repeated it often while he was strapped to the table. His suffering, she said, would help Eva.Heisenberg learned what she truly was: immortal, far older than he was, something inhuman wearing the face of a young woman. Her personality had inverted completely. The blonde, violet‑eyed angel he had fallen for was gone, replaced by a vicious and unfeeling creature. She stripped him of dignity, secrets, pride and whatever genuine heart he had left. Through the cadou, she learned everything about him: his real name, his past, his crimes, his years in the SS.After a week, he was moved from the table to a cell at the back of her laboratory. She kept him under observation, mocking his outbursts and weakness, and how easily he had been captured. She called him "son." He did not understand why. He recognised the tone from indoctrination he had seen in Nazi Germany and resisted it. His refusal earned him starvation and continued confinement. He saw others brought in. Many fared worse, twisted into wolf‑like creatures. The horrors around him were enough to break a sane man. Days became months, and months became a year. He was in constant pain, but he found himself capable of something extraordinary. He could move metal with his mind. It came slowly and hurt terribly, burning in his ribs and chest, splitting his head with the worst pain he had ever known. He injured himself often. At first, he thought he was losing his sanity. Miranda took an interest, watching him break the chain of his cell and kill one of her assistants with his hands. She stopped him before he could turn on her, forcing him to his knees without lifting a finger. That was when he understood he could not harm her. She controlled him completely.Returned to his cell, he was tested repeatedly. He learned he could only manipulate metals with iron or magnetic properties. The size of what he could move depended on his concentration. When he refused further testing, Miranda starved him until he complied.Starved. Injected. Scanned. Wired to machines. Forced through tests. In desperation, he used his powers to end his suffering. During a routine experiment, he cut his wrists with an iron jigsaw. He was prepared for death. Anything beyond this felt preferable.(To be continued. Check back later.)Heisenberg’s relationship with Miranda is complex. He went from a man in love who would have done anything to win her heart to someone who wants nothing more than to kill her. Calling her "mother" was an act, a performance to gain freedom earlier, a mask of obedience while he planned her downfall. He is uneasy around her and avoids being alone with her. When she shows him tenderness, he feels anger and bitterness, haunted by the remnants of his old feelings and knowing her sweetness is only an imitation. He believes she robbed him of everything he once was, and that the only closure he will ever have is her death.

Morrigan is a witch Heisenberg first encountered when Moreau approached him to retrieve her after she escaped his laboratory. Heisenberg could not bring himself to return her, for reasons he could not fully articulate, and instead released her back into the wild. They parted ways.Later that winter, she appeared at his factory seeking shelter from the cold. They formed an agreement: Heisenberg would be allowed to study her cadou’s ability to restore life, and in return, she would have safety, a truce, and freedom from Moreau’s reach. As the weeks passed, he began to see her as a companion. His desire for her grew, but he refused to act on it, recognising the echo of his past with Miranda and fearing the same pattern. He kept her at a distance to protect himself, the old trauma leaving a deep mental scar.A violent incident in the village triggered a surge in his cadou, pushing him into a semi‑mutated state. In that state, he lost control and turned on Morrigan, harming her severely. When he regained himself and understood what he had done to the only person who had kept him company for months, he was shaken. He apologised and tried to repair the damage, caught between his attraction to her and his anger at his own loss of control.Over the following weeks, they moved carefully around each other. The tension between them remained, along with mutual care and desire. Morrigan eventually forgave him, and the two became lovers.Their anniversary is November 29.Heisenberg is often bemused by her blunt honesty and enjoys her presence. He is deeply in love with her, one of the few things he allows himself to feel without restraint. He is fiercely protective of her and possessive in his own way.
